Director of Norwich Clinical Trials Unit (Minimum of 0.8fte) An exciting opportunity has arisen at the University of East Anglia to take a leading role in our thriving Clinical Trials Unit. We are now seeking a new Director for the Norwich Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU) to ensure the continued growth and development of NCTU staff and the successful trials portfolio on a permanent basis. UEA has a strong tradition in clinical trials particularly of complex interventions in primary, secondary and within social care. The trial portfolio is led by Chief Investigators from a wide range of clinical specialties in Norwich and nationally. NCTU provides the infrastructure for the planning, design, conduct and analysis of randomised clinical trials and other well-designed studies. Details of our staff and current portfolio can be found at . Expansion of the trial portfolio is anticipated with the increase in research capacity afforded by the Quadram Institute. In addition, the University is a member of UEA Health Partners and we hope to expand our activity in clinical research in collaboration with our NHS and HEI partners. The post holder will report to the Pro Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and will work closely with senior clinical Chief Investigators, UEA, NNUH and wider NHS colleagues. Although this post is available immediately on an indefinite, full-time basis there is the possibility of the post being undertaken on a part-time basis at a minimum of 0.8fte. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service, including a check of the Child and Adult Barred Lists.
