About the Engineering Services team In the Moonsong Labs' Engineering Services team our aim is to collaborate with some of the top web3 projects in the world. Our experienced team of software engineers design and implement Web3 protocols across a variety of technology stacks. Services are project based and managed to ensure success. We are a contributor to the Moonbeam protocol, but also provide implementation services for other Foundations and Projects such as Starkware, zkSync and Polkadot. About the role We are looking for an overall orchestrator for the services business. This involves coordinating engineering, finance, legal, recruitment, executives, and technical project managers to handle new contracts and customer requests. This is a senior-level role that can synthesize and simultaneously consider the strategic and operational aspects of project planning and resource allocation, manage customer needs and expectations, while furthering the business interests of MSL. What you'll do: Responsible for overseeing, sequencing, and managing the day-to-day business operations for the Engineering Services line of business. Serves as the key cross-functional point-person that leads, engages and interfaces with both internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and execute on new and existing business opportunities. Collaborate with the Head of Business Development to review, evaluate, and help draft new and existing customer engagements. Serve as a strategic-minded resource in support of customer negotiations and drafting of proposals. Work directly with Engineering team leads (including CTO, Principal Engineering Manager, Tech Leads, and Technical Program Managers) on current and future project planning and overall resource allocations. Ensure projects are appropriately staffed to satisfy customer needs while optimizing headcount and team size. Collaborate with finance to manage fixed costs, price customer proposals, and ensure profitability and margin goals are achieved and maintained. Coordinate with Head of People & Talent to kick off and monitor recruiting efforts to staff new and existing Engineering Service projects. Engage and interface with outside counsel to manage the drafting, revisioning and coordination of customer-facing agreements for services during contract negotiations. Work with Moonsong leadership (CEO, COO, CTO) to ensure projects meet strategic goals and conform to the company s risk appetite. Assist Engineering team in ensuring adherence to software licensing requirements and policies. What you'll bring: Experience managing and operating services businesses, particularly in the software engineering and/or consulting services space. Familiarity with blockchain, web3 and protocol development environments Operational experience in complex b2b settings Legal and contracting process highly preferred, as well as working with outside counsel Demonstrable project management experience in a cross-functional role, particularly managing complex projects across many stakeholders. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Team player with ability to influence and steer various internal and external stakeholders to execution Effective leader to continually drive cross-functional alignment. Strategically minded with a strong bias toward action and moving forward initiatives to completion. Impeccable communication skills to align team members in an asynchronous working environment across multiple time zones. Ability to write clearly with a laser focus on summarizing strategic insights and action items into succinct points for relevant stakeholders.
