We are thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished and visionary Director of Public Health to join our dynamic team in Peterborough City Council. As one of the fastest-growing areas in the UK, Peterborough boasts a vibrant community and a forward-thinking environment. As our new Director of Public Health, you will report to the Executive Director of Adults Services, whilst working closely with the Chief Executive and Corporate Leadership team. You are a statutory chief officer of the authority and the principal adviser on all health matters, including health improvement, health protection and healthcare public health and responsible for delivering excellent public health services for Peterborough residents. You will work closely across all the directorates in the council, maximising the opportunities of being a unitary authority. You will be the system leader for improving the health and wellbeing of residents, reducing inequalities in health outcomes and protecting local communities in Peterborough. You will provide public health leadership for our work with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board, the North Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Care Partnership and other health partners as well as collaborating closely with all key partners to improve health outcomes including the Police, Fire, the Combined Authority and the voluntary sector, aligning efforts to maximise impact and foster synergy across our footprint.
