Wild are working with a well-established client based in Milton Keynes, who are looking for a Director of Quality Assurance to cover the UK/EMEA to join their global organisation that deliver award winning brands all over the world. They are an exciting company to work for and are known for their innovation and pushing groundbreaking ideas within the market that they lead in.

As the Director of Quality Assurance UK/EMEA you will play a pivotal role in managing companies products and ensuring they meet not only the company's high expectations they meet industry quality standards. This position requires a strong background in domestic and international safety and quality standards, a minimum of five year's experience in quality management within a consumer product market.

As the Director of Quality Assurance, you will play a key part ensuring the highest standards of quality and using your expertise to make critical judgement calls that support the best interest of the company. You will be the driving force in ensuring continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and want to develop yourself into the next step of your career.

Role

  • Continuously improve quality and performance across all brands
  • Stay Intune with changes to product safety, environmental protection, and social responsibility regulations.
  • Ensure all manufacturing practices comply with relevant legislation, proactively track upcoming EN/EU standards, and communicate their impact to quality teams and management
  • Investigate test failures and rejections, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and lead the resolution of critical quality issues.
  • Collaborate with testing labs to ensure smooth processing of our products and engage experts for favourable solutions in ambiguous situations.
  • Consult with in-house legal counsel on quality assurance matters requiring reporting to the Directorate General within the European Commission.
  • Provide input on new product launches to ensure compliance with EU regulations from concept to final product.

The ideal candidate must have

  • Proven experience in both domestic and international safety and quality standards
  • Manufacturing background
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for the manufacture of European products
  • Windows XP and Microsoft Office experience
  • A can-do attitude and excellent organisational skills

Location - Milton Keynes - hybrid working model, 2 days in the office

Would consider REMOTE for the right candidate

Hours of work - 9.00am - 5.00pm

A competitive salary negotiable depending on experience.
