Software Technology Director, £130,000 + BonusAn international Technology Company who’s Data-Driven Cloud Platform supports enterprise scale customers globally are in need of a new Software Technology Director to lead their UK Engineering Team.The new Software Technology Director will be part of the global leadership team and manage a team of talented engineers across several core product teams. The tech stack the Mobile, Software, Data and Embedded teams work with includes Go, C/C++, Swift, Objective-C, Python, Erlang, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, Jenkins and Linux amongst others as part of a modern application development tech stack.Key experience needed:8+ years leading Software Engineering Teams developing systems for Data-driven, Mobile (ideally with Swift) and Embedded applications.Working as part of an international Technology Company with a strong understanding of operational details.Deep understanding of Distributed Systems and Open Source Databases (NoSQL ideally).Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (internationally) to deliver high-quality products.Managed Engineers working with Go, C/C++, PostgreSQL, MySQL automation tools such as Jenkins & CMake.Role ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement effective mechanisms to continuously enhance delivery processes.Managing remote engineers and distributed teams in different countries.Managing the recruitment process, retention and performance of high performing engineering teams.Setting out and implementing technology roadmaps and long-term tech strategy.Ensuring your teams collaborate and communicate across multiple departments with various stakeholders.Keeping up to date with key technologies around Open Source Data, Cloud Data (DBaaS), Artificial Intelligence and Distributed Systems.This is an excellent opportunity for a Software Technology Director to join an innovative, successful and growing technology company.To apply please send your CV to Richard Thexton at NearTech Search.
