Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch Team Leader to join our client based in Welwyn.
Duties
- Overseeing and coordinating all despatch operations within the warehouse, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Supervising staff, optimizing processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout the despatch process.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for despatch operations.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure availability for order fulfilment.
- Address any issues or concerns related to despatch and delivery promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare regular updates for management regarding team performance, challenges, and achievements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics role.
- Strong understanding of despatch processes and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy in all documentation related to dispatch operations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
