Location: W4

Duration: 6 Month contract

Day rate: Up to �250

Our client is a leading bespoke, property development and investment agency, synonymous with creating luxurious, but liveable homes in prime Central London. They undertake everything from property investment and acquisition, development, project management, interior architecture and interior design.

What's in it for you?

  • Monday to Friday - 7.30 am - 4.30 pm.
  • Day rate - Up to �250 per day (depending on experience)

Document Controller

Position Overview

  • Organise and maintain all construction project documents such as blueprints, drawings, contracts, permits, specifications, meeting minutes, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information). Ensure that all documents are properly classified, indexed, and stored in both physical and digital formats.
  • Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders such as contractors, sub-contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers.
  • Ensure that all parties have access to the latest versions of documents and drawings.
  • Ensure that all documentation is delivered in a timely manner to prevent delays in the construction process.
  • Track the progress of documents through the approval process, ensuring that all approvals, signatures, and revisions are completed as required.
  • Update documents as needed when there are revisions or changes to the project specifications, drawings, or schedules.
  • Implement a secure and easily accessible system for storing and retrieving documents (e.g., cloud-based document management systems like Procore or Aconex).
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure there is an adequate supply of goods.
  • Perform regular stock audits and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
  • Track inventory movements, including receiving, storing, and shipping items.

Position Requirements

  • Must have experience within the construction industry.
  • Experience with document control software is required; familiarity with Aconex is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong IT skills in Excel, Outlook & Word.
  • Great communication and organisational skills.
