The Role
As a Dog Handler, you will play a key role in ensuring the well-being, safety, and proper care of dogs. Your responsibilities will contribute to maintaining high animal welfare standards while supporting the wider kennel operations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, exercise, and maintaining hygiene.
Clean kennels and related areas to prevent the spread of disease.
Report any health issues, injuries, or concerns about the dogs to the Senior Dog Handler.
Transport dogs safely and ensure their well-being during travel.
Inspect kennels and equipment for maintenance needs, reporting any issues.
Maintain accurate records related to dog care.
Assist with the rehoming process by conducting checks and meeting potential new owners.
Support new team members through buddying.
Participate in dog training sessions.
Assist at promotional events as required.
Ensure all activities prioritise client safety, customer satisfaction, and animal welfare.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a professional with:
Experience with dogs (Essential).
Qualification in Dog Care (Desirable).
Clean Driving Licence (Essential).
Confidence with handling sharp dogs (Essential).
