Drama Teacher - Full time - September Start - Permanent Role - Mainstream Secondary School - Paid to Scale�



I am seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join a 'Good' Ofsted-rated mixed secondary school in Ruislip. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and dynamic drama lessons, fostering a love for the performing arts and helping students to achieve their full potential.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Teaching and Learning:




    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.

    • Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the national curriculum.

    • Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and abilities.




  • Student Support:




    • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.

    • Encourage student participation in drama activities, both in and out of the classroom.

    • Provide additional support to students who need extra help.




  • Classroom Management:




    • Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment.

    • Implement school policies and procedures to manage student behavior effectively.

    • Foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.




  • Extracurricular Activities:




    • Organize and lead drama clubs, productions, and other extracurricular activities.

    • Promote opportunities for students to participate in school performances and external events.




  • Collaboration and Professional Development:




    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the drama curriculum and share best practices.

    • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

    • Stay updated with developments in drama education.





Qualifications and Experience:




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.

  • Previous teaching experience in a secondary school setting preferred.
