Drama Teacher – Great Missenden

Supply Desk are currently seeking a passionate Drama Teacher for a new role located in the area of Great Missenden. We are looking for someone who can create an environment where all the children feel safe and are encouraged and have the opportunity to learn and grow.

About the role:

• Design and deliver dynamic drama lesson plans that cultivate creativity, performance skills, and a love for theatre.
• Teach students various acting techniques, theatre games, and performance activities, tailoring lessons to suit different skill levels and interests.
• Evaluate and track student progress in acting abilities and theatrical knowledge.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes collaboration, respect, and self-expression.
• Demonstrate and encourage proper techniques and safety practices in all drama-related activities.
• Work with colleagues to integrate drama with other subjects and school-wide initiatives.
• Plan and oversee extracurricular drama programs, such as school plays, drama clubs, and theatre workshops.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues about student progress and participation in drama activities.

The ideal candidate will:

• Has experience in teaching in Secondary Schools
• Strong knowledge of the Drama curriculum
• Degree and QTS Desirable (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
• Be a committed team player
• Be confident and adaptable to different environments
• Have strong classroom management skills
• Able to commute to Great Missenden and the surrounding areas
