Position: Drama Teacher

Location: Tetherdown, London

Start Date: September 2024

Are you a passionate and talented Drama Teacher looking for your next opportunity in a 'Good' high-attaining, mixed-foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London? Step Teachers are working alongside a secondary school in Tetherdown, London who are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for drama and a desire to instil that passion in the school’s students. This is a permanent role. All middle leaders are open to applying to the school’s Associate Senior Leadership programme which involves joining the SLT as a paid position for a year.

The Role of a Drama teacher:

  • Willing to take a well-established and successful drama department to the next level.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of the drama curriculum.
  • \n
  • Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources.
  • \n
  • Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom and throughout the school.
  • \n
  • As a Drama Teacher, you must have the ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback to help them to progress.
  • \n
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons and have responsibility for overall curriculum planning and development.
  • \n
  • Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
  • \n

Requirements of a Drama teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best.
  • \n
  • As a Drama Teacher, you must have excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with young learners.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated experience teaching drama at the secondary level.
  • \n
