Prospero Teaching is looking for a Drama Teacher for an Ofsted "Good" Secondary school located in Amesbury. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Drama Teacher to join our team and inspire students through the performing arts.

Job Title: Drama Teacher

Location: Amesbury, Wilthshire

Position: Type: Full- Time, Temp- Perm contract

Salary: �31,650- �49,084 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging drama lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers various aspects of drama, including acting, directing, script-writing, and stagecraft.
  • Encourage students to explore their creativity and develop their confidence through performance.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other staff members.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Organise and direct school productions, including plays, musicals, and other performances.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support the overall educational goals of the school.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Experience teaching drama, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various drama techniques and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students through the performing arts.
