Our client, a privately owned, market leader in their sector are looking to expand their technical department with the hiring of a technical Draughtsperson.
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented candidate to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of design principles and be proficient in various drafting software.
As a Drafter, you will play a crucial role in transforming concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Day to day duties will include:

\n
• Producing technical product drawings using AutoCAD 2 for both production and customer use.
\n
• Editing previously completed drawings will also be a requirement.
\n
• The technical drawings the successful applicant will be doing are, but not limited to, sewage treatment plants, separators and pump chambers, so an understanding of off mains drainage products would be welcomed, however, not essential.
\n

Responsibilities:-

\n
• Create detailed drawings and plans using CAD software, ensuring precision and compliance with industry standards.
\n
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
\n
• Revise drawings based on feedback from team members or clients, maintaining accurate documentation of changes.
\n
• Prepare layouts, schematics, and diagrams for various projects
\n
• Utilise graphic design principles to enhance visual representation of designs where necessary.
\n
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technology to improve efficiency and quality of work.
\n

Qualifications:-

\n
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD 2, BIM Imagery and 3D Solid Modelling is essential.
\n
• Strong graphic design skills to effectively communicate ideas visually.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
\n
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
\n
• A relevant qualification in drafting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
\n
