Driver's Mate

Connect Appointments are recruiting individuals to become a Driver's Mate with our Newark based clients transport team on a temporary basis.

What's on offer?

• Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 18:00
• �11.50 per hour - paid weekly
• Immediate starts available

Working as a Driver's Mate, you will be responsible for:

• Map reading and/or satellite navigation, providing clear instructions for the driver to locate customer's properties using the best route
• Providing exceptional customer service
• Heavy lifting and possible assembly of items
• Assisting with vehicle checks and cleanliness of vehicle
• Regularly review, adjust, and secure the load to ensure safety whilst using equipment provided (i.e., straps and sack barrows)
• To carry out the delivery and collection of tote boxes and products from retail stores
• Other general labouring/assisting tasks

To be successful in this role you will be able to work as part of a team, have good communication skills, and; ideally have previous experience in the same or similar manual handling role.
