Our very well established client in Weston-super-Mare have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis.

Our client, based in Weston-super-Mare is responsible for collecting recycling and waste from over 90,000 homes and commercial businesses across North Somerset, along with managing Household Waste Recycling Centres at Backwell, Portishead and Weston. In April 2024 we commenced delivering cyclical and reactive highway maintenance in North Somerset.
We are currently seeking a Driver Team Leader based from the depot in Weston-Super-Mare to assist in the operations of the Household Waste & recycling Centre, Transfer Stations and external movements, to ensure waste materials are disposed and transported of safely and in compliance with the terms of the license.
Salary and Hours of Work
£33,392 per annum
Shift pattern - 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 6am and 6pm
Responsibilities
Proactively manage team members to ensure transport operations are completed and compliant.
Conduct site inductions and training to support accurate and safe operations.
Keep the staff rota up to date, liaising with the Senior Supervisor on working patterns.
Check waste quality for compliance and promote a culture of recycling and reducing landfill waste.
Maintain compliance with legal requirements, health and safety rules, and keep the Fleet clean and tidy.
Report incidents, accidents, and damage to plant or property promptly to the appropriate person.
Complete administrative reporting accurately and operate mobile plant when trained, ensuring safe systems of work.
Essential
Must have a full UK Driving Licence
Must have a valid LGV Class C / HGV Class 1 Licence
Clean driving licence preferred
