Dunbar Education is excited to advertise an opportunity for a Design Technology Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials to join a fantastic secondary school in Bedford. This is a long-term role starting in January, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

About the Role:

• Teaching: Deliver engaging lessons in Design Technology, with a focus on Resistant Materials, to students aged 11-16.
• Curriculum: Plan and deliver lessons that combine practical and theoretical learning, aligning with curriculum standards.
• Assessment: Evaluate and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and support.
• Environment: Create an inspiring and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking.
• Collaboration: Work alongside a dedicated team to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.

About You:

• Qualifications: Hold QTS/QTLS and a degree or specialization in Design Technology or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience teaching Resistant Materials at the secondary level.
• Skills: Strong organisational and classroom management skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching Design Technology and helping students develop practical and creative skills.
• Commitment: Eager to contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular programs.
