With the ongoing growth of Kids Planet, we are delighted to announce we are looking to grow our Early Years Advisory Team. We are looking to appoint highly dedicated Early Years Advisors to cover the Northeast / Yorkshire region.
As an Early Years Advisor, you will have extensive knowledge of the EYFS and Ofsteds Early Years Inspection Framework and have experience of managing and co-ordinating early years settings, with a proven record of enhancing quality.
Early Years Advisors, provide advice and support, with a focus on assessing compliance, monitoring the quality of provision, and evaluating progress. This role is an integral part of our Senior Management team.
Early Years is a broad term and so this role is varied, fast paced, and covers a wide variety of aspects.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
Carry out internal inspections and have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Inspection handbook and ensure that all nurseries are compliant with regards to the EYFS welfare requirements.
Support assigned nurseries with the planning and delivery of strategies to improve standards and outcomes for children.
Identifying areas of development and delivering training to support staff knowledge of the EYFS or signposting to relevant professional development opportunities.
Work collaboratively with Area Managers, specialist teams and other Senior Management to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Support, when required, with operational aspects at focus settings.
Provide written reports following internal inspections and support visits, and detailed monthly reports linked to KPIs.
Attend regular team meetings and provide regular updates to the Senior Early Years Advisor on focus settings.
Work with assigned acquisitions alongside the Area Manager to support a collaborative integration into Kids Planet processes and procedures.
Supporting with the delivery and assessing of the Kids Planet Quality Accreditation, Inspire.
Experience and knowledge required includes:
Proven practical experience as a Nursery Manager
Proven experience of co-ordinating and managing an Early Years setting
Proven experience of driving and supporting a setting to achieve outstanding outcomes
Extensive knowledge of legislation relating to Early Years
Extensive knowledge of EYFS, including best practice based on sound theory and effective pedagogy in early years.
Knowledge of legislation relating to children with Additional Learning Needs.
Understanding of partnership working at operational and strategic levels
The ideal applicant will:
Hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education
Have a minimum of 3 years experience working at a senior level
Have experience of producing accurate and appropriately evidenced reporting against the EYFS and Ofsted Early Years Inspection Framework
Possess extensive knowledge of Safeguarding
Be able to demonstrate experience of multi-agency working and leading training
Full, clean driving licence and use of a vehicle
Multi-site management desirable
The role is field based but will require significant amounts of travel and occasional overnight stays away from home. The role holder is required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business; this will include some evening or weekend work to support improvement, for example, to deliver evening training sessions.
