Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary School in SK4, Stockport

About the Role:

Tradewind is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the SK4 area of Stockport. This is a full-time role starting in September 2024. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting children with complex needs in a 1:1 environment, ensuring that every child receives the personalised attention and support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing 1:1 support for children with complex needs
• Assisting the class teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs)
• Supporting students' social and emotional development
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to meet each child's needs

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
• Experience supporting children with complex needs on a 1:1 basis
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
• Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable
