Job Title: EC&I Engineer

GPW Recruitment is partnering with a leading engineering firm to hire an experienced EC&I Engineer for a new project. This contract role offers a highly competitive hourly rate, a condensed 4-day working week (37 hours), and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge engineering projects while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Electrical Design: Generate engineering drawings such as block cable diagrams, schematics, general assemblies, cable routing, and termination drawings.
- Documentation: Produce key engineering documents, including operation and maintenance manuals, test documentation, functional design specifications, and device schedules.
- Engineering Calculations: Perform technical calculations, including cable sizing, panel heat dissipation, and safety instrumented system evaluations.
- Software Development: Develop PLC and SCADA control systems to support automation needs.
- Testing and Trials: Conduct factory tests and trials following test documentation, under the supervision of the project responsible engineer.
- Project Tracking: Work within budget and provide progress updates on tasks assigned by the project responsible engineer.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Design Reviews: Participate in design reviews and essential Health and Safety reviews to ensure project compliance.
- Testing and Commissioning: Join the test and commissioning team when required, which may involve short periods of travel and working away from home.
Security Clearance:
Candidates must hold, or be willing to undergo, the appropriate level of security clearance required for this project.
