Job Title: Ecology Manager (Principal Level)

Salary: �40,000-�50,000 depending on experience

Location: Nottingham

A company who provides highway, fleet management and maintenance services across the East Midlands are looking for an experienced Principal Ecologist to join their team in Nottingham.

Responsibilities as Ecology Manager

• Guide the ecology team in providing environmental services that support business objectives.
• Set priorities and efficiently allocate resources within the team.
• Utilise ecological knowledge to successfully complete projects and meet goals.
• Oversee ecological planning and act as an expert witness when necessary.
• Offer expert ecological guidance to ensure compliance and project success.
• Identify opportunities for improving ecology services.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members to achieve desired outcomes.
• Hold team members responsible for following standards and protocols.
• Represent projects and the company professionally in various settings.

Ecology Manager Criteria

• BSc/MSc in ecology or similar relevant field (essential)
• Extensive relevant experience (5+ years)(essential)
• Mixture of field and recent consultancy experience
• Extensive BNG knowledge and experience
• Full UK driving licence
