A Top 3 Global Multi-Disciplinary real estate business with a focus on promotion of sustainable local economic growth and development has a requirement to add to their Economic Development team. The right individual will be passionate and knowledgeable - An understanding of land and property schemes is required but an RICS qualification is not essential. They would be reporting directly into the Partner leading this area of work nationally with a team around you to support delivery.This team advises on both Public and Private sector clients nationally and offers funding strategies, impact assessment, evaluation, project feasibility, sector based demand assessments, business/investment planning and economic growth and place based strategy.They are retained on a number of public sector frameworks and also realise further opportunities from across a global platform. They are heavily involved in initiatives such as the Levelling Up Fund, Towns Fund, Enterprise/Investment Zones, the devolution agenda along with national housing delivery work through their national frameworks.Key Role Points:Support the existing Director within this team in their work, as well as supporting other Directors across the wider team. Look at broader issues related to Economic Development and “big picture thinking”. Deal with socio-economic chapters for EIA projects, health and EqIA’s, modelling. Put cases together for Economic Impact Assessment, HMT Green Book business cases, and funding bids. Do development and local need assessments, options appraisals, social investment strategies and evaluation of Social Value programmes. You will ideally: Have at least two years of experience. Have a degree in Planning, Geography or Economics. Understand socio-economic impacts to real estate and regeneration and a have a keen interest in Economic Development. Be a good team player as well as being independent. Have excellent communication, written, numerical and data analytics skills. They are open to level of seniority, which they envisage will be from Senior Consultant to Associate.
