We are seeking a passionate and committed Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our vibrant team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in line with the Primary National Curriculum across all key stages.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons that cater to the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Utilise effective teaching strategies and inclusive practices to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Implement appropriate assessment, marking, and feedback to support student progress and development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and development plans.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, employing clear and consistent strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Liaise collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Essential:

    • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    • Degree in a relevant field
    • Commitment to continued professional development
    • Appropriate safeguarding/child protection training
    • Proven track record of good performance and effective teaching strategies
    • Experience in effective lesson planning, marking, and assessment practices
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Primary National Curriculum across each key stage
    • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
    • Ability to contribute to a specific curriculum area
    • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
  • Desirable:

    • Experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
    • Evidence of curriculum management experience
    • Knowledge and experience of School Development Planning and Curriculum Design Planning
    • Evidence of liaising collaboratively with colleagues
    • Experience and knowledge of managing challenging behaviour
