Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences in line with the Primary National Curriculum across all key stages.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons that cater to the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Utilise effective teaching strategies and inclusive practices to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Implement appropriate assessment, marking, and feedback to support student progress and development.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's curriculum and development plans.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, employing clear and consistent strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Liaise collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Degree in a relevant field
- Commitment to continued professional development
- Appropriate safeguarding/child protection training
- Proven track record of good performance and effective teaching strategies
- Experience in effective lesson planning, marking, and assessment practices
- Knowledge and understanding of the Primary National Curriculum across each key stage
- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Ability to contribute to a specific curriculum area
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one
Desirable:
- Experience teaching in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Evidence of curriculum management experience
- Knowledge and experience of School Development Planning and Curriculum Design Planning
- Evidence of liaising collaboratively with colleagues
- Experience and knowledge of managing challenging behaviour
