We are looking for a proactive Education Officer, your mission will be to create memories providing a phenomenal guest experience by planning, coordinating and delivering education sessions on site. You will deliver our outreach program at events, and will provide lectures to university students. As an employee you will enjoy extensive benefits, full support in your role and you will be joining Drayton Manor Resorts as we embark on the next chapter of our journey! /p p strong Your responsibilities as our Education Officer will include but not be limited to; /strong /p ul li Developing and delivering innovative, curriculum linked workshops and education activities across the zoo via webinars, workshops and events /li li Delivery of formal and informal activities across the zoo with visitors and students /li li Coordinating our internship and work experience programmes, supporting the work of work placement students, providing guidance and training as needed /li li Leading our Experiences Team, developing knowledge and skills /li li Creative communication acting as the experience and engagement lead for external communications, training and development /li /ul p strong Key Skills and attributes as an Education Officer /strong /p ul li You will need either a degree in Zoology or related subject such as conservation or animal Biology /li li Possess either a teaching qualification and or have teaching experience across a wide variety of ages and abilities /li li Have up to date knowledge of national curriculum, safeguarding legislation and policies /li li You will have a drivers licence transport (due to the nature of the role some travel may be involved) /li li Excellent presentation, time management and organisational skills /li li An interest in the Zoo’s work and purpose and an understanding of the role we play in conservation /li li I.T literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages /li li Ability to obtain a satisfactory DBS check /li li Experience of line management or managing a team of volunteers /li li Ideally you will have worked as an Education Officer /li /ul p strong What’s in it for you as our Education Officer /strong /p ul li 30 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays /li li 40 hour working week /li li Fun benefits to include access into Drayton Manor for you and three guests and to our sister site West Midlands Safari Park for free and staff discount on food and retails outlets in the resort /li /ul p strong We are Drayton Manor Resorts! /strong And we are making tracking with our ambitious plans to be the number one theme park in the UK for families, we are recruiting the best warm hearted talent to work with us in promoting our successes and core values to our customers and our employees.
