Job DescriptionOur Local Government client based in Oxfordshire, is currently recruiting for an Education/SEN Lawyer to join the team on a permanent basis. The role offers hybrid working, with office attendance required on a weekly basis.The position is due to start as soon as possible, and they are offering up to £54,702 per annum dependent on PQE.The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Local Authority setting and specifically within Education Law & SEN.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Handling and advising on a varied caseload of SEN and Education Law cases, providing proactive support to the team with all queries Acting on SEN cases and advising clients about Tribunal casesCarrying own caseload of matters, including covering Court work and hearings as requiredProviding expert legal advice and representation in various Education disputes Conducting legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and legal documents, and providing case analysisAssisting in negotiating settlements and alternative dispute resolutions when appropriateConducting advocacy as required in relation to varied cases, including Education TribunalsExperience required:Knowledge in Education & SEN LawLocal Government experience desirableWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday – FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.
