This is a fantastic opportunity to work for EV commercial vehicle manufacturer based in the Coventry area.Main Activities/tasks:Key Responsibilities:Position Overview:As the EE Integration Lead within the Vehicle Engineering Group, you will play the leading role in the EE test and integration deliverables for all future vehicle projects. This is a role for a hands-on self-starter that is comfortable both defining test processes and procedures and conducting hands-on testing and fault finding. It is a unique opportunity for an ambitious technician/engineer to take the next step in their career and develop into a leadership role.The main Tasks and activities will be as follows:Definition of EE System Integration organisation and processesDefinition of EE DVP for future B-on productsLead Integration of EE systems into all future B-on productsHands-on testing at bench and vehicle level, including design and implementation of test set-ups and structured problem solving.Support Vehicle Level System Integration and Test teams to ensure seamless flow of V&V activitiesAudit and control of EE System Integration processes.Additional Tasks as follows:Mentoring and training of VJV staff as requiredExperience Required:A minimum of ten years’ experience is essential and preferably most of this will be in automotive.Must have experience of running integration and test activities for a complex system incorporating several electronic control units.Extensive hands-on experience of testing and fault finding on test bench and vehicle. Ideally some of this experience will be with EVs.Ideally the candidate will have experience of the full right-hand side of the development V-cycle.Skills Required:In depth working knowledge of verification and validation methods for complex electronic control systems.Fully conversant with the use of testing tools e.g. Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, data loggers.Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skillsCross-cultural communication and collaboration skills. Experience of working with Chinese vehicle manufactures desirable.Education Required:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a HND/C, NVQ with appropriate industrial experience.Other Features of job (Location, shifts, travel, working conditions etc.)This position will be based in the UK, with a requirement to travel to China to support Technical workshops and meetings.
