Role: Effluent Treatment Plant Operator
Salary: £35,000 p/a
Location: Lacock, Wiltshire
Working Hours: 4on4off,Days & Nights (06.00am-18.00pm / 18.00pm - 06.00am)

We are seeking an Effluent Treatment Plant Operator to join our team for the opening of our on-site Water Treatment Plant. As a Effluent Treatment Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring at all times that the trade effluent water discharged is within the permitted levels as set by the local Environment Agency.

Role & Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain effluent treatment plant equipment, including daily checks, equipment inspection, cleaning, sampling and testing
Monitor and control plant processes to ensure efficient operation
Perform routine/ planned inspections and maintenance tasks
Trouble shoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner
Control of waste handling and disposal
Basic fault finding, whilst recognising and escalating more serious faults
Monitoring plant parameters against set standards, adjusting plant to meet these whilst reporting any deviation via pre-agreed escalation procedure
Ensuring all records are accurate an up-to-date
Moving of chemical IBCs, controlling usage and restocking
Daily housekeeping and upkeep of plant
Ad hoc duties as required

Qualifications / Experience:
Previous experience as an effluent treatment plant operator or similar role
Mechanical knowledge and aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues
COSHH -pump repair/ maintenance(Desirable)
Forklift Truck Certificate(Desirable)
Water testing and analysis experience
Experience of DAF clarifier operation
