We are looking for a patient and empathetic 1:1 Teaching Assistant's to work with a specific students who have an EHCP.

The Role:

As an EHCP 1:1 Secondary Teaching Assistant in Blackpool, you will be responsible for providing dedicated one-to-one support to a secondary school student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Your role will be crucial in helping the student access the curriculum, develop their independence, and achieve their full potential. This position is based in a secondary school in Blackpool, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support to a secondary school student with an EHCP in Blackpool.
  • Adapting learning materials and activities to meet the student's individual needs as outlined in their EHCP.
  • Supporting the student's learning across various subjects within the secondary curriculum.
  • Assisting with the student's social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Encouraging the student's independence and self-confidence.
  • Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to implement the student's EHCP.
  • Monitoring and recording the student's progress and providing feedback to the relevant staff.
  • Assisting with the student's personal care needs, if required and appropriate.
  • Creating a positive and supportive learning environment for the student in Blackpool.
