EHS Advisor
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Contract: 12 months (Likely to extend)
Hourly Rate: £35.26 per hour Umbrella
Start Date: ASAP
Work Hours: 37 hours per week (09:30-14:30 must be covered, flexible start/finish times around core hours)
Working Arrangements: This is a site-based role with no remote working options.
Role Overview: . This is a standalone role requiring a dynamic individual who can manage the full spectrum of Environmental Health and Safety responsibilities, from basic administration to delivering professional presentations. As the EHS SME, you will be expected to problem-solve independently while working closely within a small team of two.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a wide range of EHS duties, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
Work autonomously, managing risk-based priorities effectively.
Present EHS reports and insights to various stakeholders, maintaining professional communication at all levels.
Use Microsoft Office and in-house systems to track and report on safety metrics and compliance.
Candidate Requirements:
Team player and great communicator with the ability to engage at all levels.
Strong time management and self-sufficiency, able to prioritize and manage workload.
Confident subject matter expert (SME) in EHS.
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (LQRA).
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an engineering environment, ideally with fabrication and CNC exposure.
Other industries not suitable – must have engineering industry experience.
