EHS Associate

Stafford (onsite)

Monday – Thursday (37 hour week)

Initial 6 month contract – could be extended or lead to a permanent opportunity

Up to PAYE £19.10 p/h and Umbrella rate £25.10 p/h

We’re looking for an experienced (1 – 2 years) EHS Engineer to support the manager in the design, implementation and maintenance of Environmental, Health & Safety programs and associated policies and regulations.

This is a great opportunity to work with a globally leading Engine manufacturer within an EHS capacity where everyday is different and you will be given a variety of projects to get stuck in to!

What will you do?


  • Performs inspections and tests planned to monitor specific EHS issues, regulations and company practices
  • Assists in training employees on EHS guidelines, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to EHS
  • Making and maintaining necessary EHS records according to established guidelines
  • Contributes to the development of EHS policies and procedures
  • Support with site wide general learning and development activities
  • Supports the EHS management with any occupational health requirements
  • Supports with site CSR and sustainability requirements

Ideally we’re looking for


  • High level working knowledge of Microsoft Office - essential to have PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience of a EHS role 1-2 years’ experience.
  • Minimum required is a NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • Member of IOSH
  • Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance with knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies
  • Some or all of the following would be hugely beneficial; COSHH, Risk Assessments, PUWER, Legal Requirements, Training, Waste Management, Sustainability, Contractor management, Cranes and lifting devices, Incident management, MHE, LOTO and high risk activity e.g. working at height
