The Opportunity:Are you an experienced,
NEBOSH qualified
Environment, Health & Safety specialist looking for an exciting new role?� As the
EHS Coordinator, you will be responsible for the for the development of
EHS policies and programs, advising and instructing on various safety-related topics, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures across a large engineering site in Somerset.�
Job Responsibilities:- Ensure full compliance with UK legislation and company standards for environment, health, and safety.
- Provide technical advice and support for a complex manufacturing site.
- Design and deliver training programs, including toolbox talks, permit writing, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.
- Maintain training databases, matrices, and annual schedules.
- Assist with internal and external auditing processes and maintain COSHH systems and provide guidance to site team members.
- Support and develop a team of local shop floor EHS Coordinators.
- Accurately report and investigate incidents and near misses.
- Complete and review risk assessments and safe systems of work in accordance with current legislation and company standards.
Requirements:- Previous experience in a EHS role is essential, ideally within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment, from which you will be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of EHS systems
- Strong working knowledge of UK and European health and safety legislation.
- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum or a relevent degree.
- Proven EHS professional with excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.�
