Responsibilities:




  • Install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment according to specifications and regulations.

  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical installations.

  • Execute electrical wiring for lighting, power distribution, and control systems.

  • Ensure that all wiring meets safety standards and local regulations.

  • Conduct tests on electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.

  • Diagnose and rectify any electrical faults and issues in a timely manner using testing equipment to identify problems and implement effective solutions.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details and maintenance logs.

  • Complete necessary documentation for compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations on site, including risk assessments and safe working practices.

  • Ensure that electrical work complies with the latest wiring regulations (e.g., IET Wiring Regulations, BS 7671).

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure project completion on time and within budget.

  • Participate in site meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues.





Qualifications:




  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, NVQ Level 3).

  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related field is advantageous.

  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certification.

  • Certification in inspection and testing (e.g., City & Guilds 2391) is beneficial.

  • Relevant work experience in electrical installations, maintenance, or construction (typically 2-5 years).

  • Experience working on construction sites and familiarity with site safety protocols.

  • Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

  • ECS Card (Electrotechnical Certification Scheme) or equivalent.
