Electrical Design Draughtsman

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our client in Basildon.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Design Engineer:

• Produce electrical drawings and panel layouts, along with supporting documentation such as Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, and Terminal Rail Layouts.
• Assist in the ongoing transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, collaborating with the Automation Department to standardise methods and drawing practices.
• Ensure electrical drawings are updated promptly throughout the project lifecycle and shared with relevant departments.
• Maintain a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency across projects.

Essential Experience & Knowledge for this Electrical Design Engineer position:

• Formal Electrical Engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship).

Desirable Experience & Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D.
• EPLAN Certified Engineer (ECE) qualification.
• Familiarity with automated production machinery or similar capital equipment.
• Experience working in a project environment with cross-functional teams.

Salary:

• �40,000 - �45,000
