The Company:
A reputable blue chip Power Technology Business which provides Systems, Equipment & Services to various industrial sectors. The organisation is highly esteemed, renown for driving innovation within the fields of Power Transmission, Distribution & Renewables, working on large-scale Capex projects with TSOs and other Energy market participants to provide reliable and complete power solutions to global energy markets.
The business is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with knowledge in the design of HV Transmission equipment / Substations to support their expanding project contributions in the UK. They provide the full suite-of-services from initial conceptual designs, tested & verified detailed designs, regulatory compliance documents, project oversight & system commissioning.
The ideal candidate will possess design knowledge of HV equipment, cabinets, circuit boards & controls who has overseen the full project lifecycle - technical specifications, bill of materials, documentation procedures.

Responsibilities:
Create and complete commercially & legally optimised electrical designs based on client technical specifications, understanding the scope & technical requirements of the project.
Prepare specifications, overviews & concepts, and final delivery of completed detailed design & documents.
Participate / Lead electrical design review meetings to detect errors and inefficiencies
putting in place corrective action when required.
Provide support during equipment functional testing & commissioning stages.
Provide technical insights and customer support to stakeholders & internal teams, collaborating with engineers & projects managers.
Experience & Qualifications:
Degree / MSc. qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering principle.
Solid understanding of HV equipment, transmission & control systems.
Opportunity for global travel to contribute to the development of Power Stations.
