Electrical Design Draughtsman

Electrical Design Engineer Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 DOE

Orion are currently working with an innovative manufacturing company based in Essex who are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Draughtsman.  

They are looking for an Electrical Design Draughtsman to join their friendly team and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment.  

The majority of the business is the design and assembly of filling and packaging lines for aerosols within the pharmaceutical industry.

Electrical Design Draughtsman Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the ongoing drawing transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, working with the rest of the Automation Department to agree on methods of working and drawing standards

• Generating electrical drawings and panel Layouts, with supporting electrical documentation (Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, Terminal Rail Layouts etc.)

• Ensure all electrical drawings are updated promptly throughout the lifecycle of the project and shared with all relevant departments

• Maintain a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency in functional hardware from project to project

Electrical Design Draughtsman Required Experience:

• In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 & Pro Panel 3D


• Formal Electrical Engineering qualification


• Familiarity to automated production machinery


• Experience in a multi-faceted environment


• Systematic approach to their work with attention to detail


• Ability to work effectively and efficiently across departments and the shop floor.

Electrical Design Draughtsman Package:

• Competitive Salary of £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Electrical Design Engineer Shifts:

Monday – Friday: 8:00 – 17:00
