Purpose of the Role:
The Electronics Wiring Design Engineer is responsible for creating CAD models and producing manufacturing drawings for our F1 car wind tunnel model wiring harnesses. This role will focus on system level drawings, schematic drawings, electrical 3D routing, and manufacturing drawings for our F1 car wind tunnel model.
Accountabilities:
Create system level documentation of the wind tunnel model wiring.
Collaborate with Wind Tunnel Engineering Group Leaders to review wiring harness designs and make necessary adjustments to packaging and design.
Design wiring schematics, 3D electrical routing, and manufacturing drawings for the wind tunnel model.
Assist with testing of looms and commissioning of systems upon delivery, if applicable.
Deliverables:
Wiring harness manufacturing drawings.
Project completion within the prearranged time frame, including delivery of all hardware.
Essential Competencies:
Proficiency in using design software such as Siemens NX Schematics.
Ability to design brackets and fixtures for electrical packaging.
Capability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Previous experience working within F1, Aerospace, or Automotive companies.
Attention to detail.
Autonomy in work.
Ability to self-check workload.
Creative ability to make suggestions where applicable.
Nice to Have:
Proficiency in CAD and schematics software.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
