Electrical Design Engineer

Organisation that specialises in M&E and telecommunications engineering across several sectors, including rail, highways, tunnels and power, requires a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, with experience using Amtech and Dialux software, to support electrical projects from tender to handover.�
This is a hybrid role, based in London.��
Responsibilities:

• Design of electrical services (LV - 11kV), ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards


• Calculations and modelling of electrical systems


• Design review to ensure the buildability of electrical installations, whilst adhering to health and safety


• Make sure design risk assessment is in line with installation�parameters�


• Ensure electrical systems comply with client requirements, project restrictions and agreed budgets


• Manage design and drawing registers


• Liaise with CAD team and other engineering departments


• Liaise with equipment manufacturers and attend FAT and SAT meetings


• Work closely with the installation team, whilst also managing sub-contractors, to ensure design suitability and rectify any problems that may arise


• Work with commercial and planning teams to track variations and make sure work is carried in accordance with the project programme

Requirements:

• Experience in the design of low voltage (LV) electrical systems


• Experience using Amtech and Dialux software, as well as AutoCAD or MicroStation


• Knowledge of CDM regulations


• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
