Our client is a leader in the Global Marine & Navy industry. They are committed to excellence, safety, and innovation, providing cutting-edge solutions to their clients. They are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. You will be responsible for various activities including platform and rig jack-up surveys, client meetings, and the compilation of Offshore Work Packs. Your role will involve ensuring health and safety standards within the working environment and design process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct platform and rig jack-up surveys to confirm and identify client design philosophies, interface hook-up requirements, and system availabilities.


• Attend weekly client meetings, including project Hazop/Hazip/Comops rollouts.


• Compile Offshore Work Packs with electrical drawings, job cards, equipment MTOs, certifications, IC sheets, test examination sheets, risk assessments, and project introductions.


• Originate BOMs for project quotations for cable, equipment, and consumables.


• Procure agreed quantities for project cables, equipment, and consumables.


• Collaborate with client engineers, project managers, technicians, OIMs, and multidisciplinary professionals.


• Oversee the design and onshore fabrication of project electrical requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Up-to-date offshore certifications to conduct rig/platform surveys.


• Current CompEx qualifications relative to BS-EN & BS IEC standards.


• Proficiency in MicroStation 2D-V8 Connect drawing software.


• BS 7671 – 18th Edition Qualified.


• Proficient in Word and Excel.

Preferred Experience:

• Low Voltage Power Distribution Systems (AC & DC)


• F&G and Instrumentation Systems


• Telephone systems
