Electrical Design Engineer, Pulborough, immediate start, salary/rate DOE, contract/temp to perm role
About the Role:
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a talented and driven individual to join their team on a contract or temp-to-perm basis. This exciting opportunity is available immediately for the right candidate.
Electrical Design engineer will:
- Produce and review electrical engineering designs for electrical installations compliant with BSEN7671 (18th Edition) and NICEIC requirements.
- Design Motor Control Centres (MCCs) and Local Control Panels, incorporating circuit design, motor automation, discrete componentry, PLC and Systems Architecture, and 230V - 24V control circuits, compliant with BNEN 61439.
- Develop complex electrical designs to technical specifications from basic outline information.
- Resolve integration problems with existing installations and/or panels.
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, panel/enclosure designs, interface drawings, loop drawings, P&IDs, and cable block diagrams as required by the project.
- Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to ensure designs meet relevant standards, specifications, and budgets.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Strong Electrical Engineering background.
- Ideally qualified to at least HNC / HND Level with Electrical Design experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
- Experience with Amtech / Trimble and the sizing & selection of conductors.
- Skilled in Control Panel / MCC Design & Specification.
- Knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition.
- Familiarity with NICEIC Test Procedure and ability to understand Electrical test results.
