Electrical Design Engineer - Newton Aycliffe
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong 2D CAD Software Knowledge (EPLAN preferred), and expertise in Technical Drawing?
Additionally, do you have proficient knowledge of PLC's, MCC's, and HMI's?
You will be working for a market-leading UK manufacturer of conveyors, conveyor systems, and automated materials handling equipment on a permanent basis.
This is an on-site opportunity based in Newton Aycliffe, offering a salary range of £25,000-£55,000, open to all levels in a growing team.

Main duties will include
The main purpose of the role will be to design & develop conveyor systems to the specified brief, as well as produce the technical documentation (drawings, bill of materials, etc).
Design and develop conveyor systems to specified brief.
Produce technical drawings in accordance with company CAD standards.
Produce technical documentation in accordance with company standards.
Manage drawings, bill of materials, and technical documents using company systems.
Undertake peer reviews of colleagues' work (drawings, documentation, etc.)
Ensure design compliance with project brief, relevant standards, and regulations.
What skills will you have?
Must-have:
2D CAD software knowledge (EPLAN preferred)
Good understanding of electrical design principles
Good knowledge of electrical control panel design and associated hardware
Qualified in a relevant design or engineering discipline (HNC, degree, etc.)
Good understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA)
Desirable:
Good PDM system knowledge (Autodesk Vault preferred)
Basic understanding of mechanical design principles
Good knowledge of conveyor systems and associated hardware
Basic 3D CAD software knowledge (Autodesk Inventor preferred)

You will be working for a UK market-leading manufacturer on a salary range of £25,000-£55,000 with a generous benefits package.
The working hours are from Mon-Thurs from 8am-4:30pm, with a 3:30pm early finish on a Friday! Additionally, you will get a paid 15-minute morning break.
