This role is to join a specialist building services design consultancy with a real emphasis on sustainability, they work on projects such as commercial, hospitality, hotels, heritage, education and leisure.

Responsibilities

• Undertake Electrical design work consisting of surveys, design, drawings and specifications for projects. E.g., undertake calculations on cable sizing, lighting selections etc


• Work in conjunction with other design team members


• Ensure the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative requirements.


• Participate in the preparation of budget costs


• Attend site as part of the construction phase and participate in site meetings.


• Preparation of snagging lists, valuations (if required) and inspections.


• Maintain familiarity with current techniques, industry developments, etc.


• Support and mange junior design engineers as required.

��Experience Required

• Experience as an Electrical Design Engineer dealing with designs from client briefs to completion.


• A minimum of 3 years design experience in building design systems.


• Experience in electrical system design and coordination for office and residential buildings.


• Fully conversant with British Standards


• Confident user of a range of software including Amtech, Dialux and Relux.


• A degree in Electrical Engineering would be beneficial but not essential
