The successful Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Producing electrical designs for modular buildings and equipment housings, including schematics, cable calculations (Amtech), and manufacturing documentation.
  • Performing lighting, heating, and ventilation calculations using tools like Dialux.
  • Developing solid models and schematics using AutoCAD and Inventor from the tender stage to contract completion.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical designers, structural engineers, and manufacturing teams, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Supporting junior team members and contributing to product development and system standardisation.
  • Ensuring compliance with BS 7671:2018 and CDM regulations while upholding health and safety standards.
The successful Electrical Design Engineer will have:
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • 3-5 years of electrical design experience post-graduation.
  • Proficiency with software tools such as AutoCAD, Amtech, Inventor, and Dialux.
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:#####) qualification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and excellent communication skills.
  • An awareness of health and safety legislation and CDM regulations.
