Job Purpose:
The role involves providing expert engineering consultancy services in electrical design. The
candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems,
ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The position requires collaboration
with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities: Design and develop electrical systems for a variety of projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, site inspections, and technical assessments.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical
solutions effectively.
Perform calculations, simulations, and energy modelling as required.
Support the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and trainees.
Assist in project management, budgeting, and timeline coordination.
Attend meetings and liaise with clients to ensure project goals are met.
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, MCIBSE, MIET) preferred.
Proven experience in electrical design within the construction industry.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, Amtech, or similar.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, British Standards, and sustainability guidelines.
Experience with BSRIA/RIBA project stages is advantageous.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
