Electrical Engineer

We here at Siamo Recruitment are working with a leading international manufacturing company with a developing multi-disciplined design team through continued success and are recruiting for an attentive and creative Electrical Design Engineer with an exposure to manufacturing industries. 

As the Electrical Design Engineer with our exciting and technical client, you will be the key piece managing the project from initial design through to completion across multiple projects creating that sense of ownership with the clientele with the ability to enhance existing design and grow our clients product range through a technical mind. 

This role will require taking ownership from concept to design of specialist and bespoke systems to their clientele with internal relations to sales, production, fabrication and the design team. The ideal candidate for this Electrical Design Engineer will have system knowledge of PCB Design Software, AutoCAD and Solidworks.

 This Electrical Design Engineer vacancy will have the following responsibilities: 

• Responsible for the electrical design and development of a range of projects, starting from the initial design, working to customer specifications’, preparing designs for manufacture and seeing the product through to completion.


• Provide technical input into the business development and assist with future product development of existing and new products.


• To design and develop new products as required.


• Creating products through PCB Design Software, AutoCAD and Solidworks.


• To design and develop enhancements to the existing product range.


• To support other departments where required on issues of a technical nature.


• Provide technical support to customer, which may involve site visits of both a national and international nature.


• The production of, and maintenance of technical documentation as required, including 3D CAD models, 2D CAD drawings, DXF files for laser cutting, bills of materials, technical specifications, test data etc.


• To ensure that the products meet mandatory legislation and customer specific legislation.


• Testing of products – installation, collecting results and analysing data – creation of test reports.

 The ideal candidate for this Electrical Design Engineer role will have the below: 

• Previous exposure as an Electrical Design Engineer / Electrical Engineer


• HNC / HND Qualifications in electrical engineering or engineering


• Previous exposure working with AutoCAD and Solidworks


• Previous projects experience and working to deadlines


• Previous customer engagement and account management


• Experience with Control Systems and Panel Design


• Full UK Driving License
