We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the New Product Induction Function within Stannah Homelift based at our brand-new site in Andover.

Candidates need to be located within a commutable distance to Andover.

Candidates must have unrestricted right to work, sponsorship is not offered.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:45 and Friday 08:00 to 13:00 these can be negotiated to suit the business and candidate's needs.

This job is to generate and deliver electrical mechanical design solutions serving the new product introduction function within the Stannah Homelift business.

We are looking for an individual who is knowledgeable within Rapid prototyping and manufacturing techniques within a fast-paced environment with business-critical deadlines.

A background in Electrical Engineering and producing technical drawings is essential with computer and telephone knowledge being desirable.

Electrical Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical/electronic hardware designs for safety critical applications
  • Creating hardware documentation to maintain traceability through the implementation to ensure stakeholder requirements are met
  • Practical laboratory test of designs, supporting the Test and Development team
  • Support DFMEA process
  • Use Product Safety Hazard Analysis process to assess product safety

Electrical Engineer Job Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Rapid Prototyping and Material selection criteria for steels and metal manufacturing techniques.
  • Understand Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for component levels
  • Experience in producing technical drawings to a BS8888 quality standard.
  • Experience in design and development of electrical and electro-mechanical systems, preferably which include safety critical elements, machinery design, Sheetmetal and fabrication, motor and gearing applications, mechanisms and machine reliability

Qualifications/Skills:

  • HNC/Degree (or equivalent) in engineering related to electronical engineering
  • Proficient use of Solidworks
  • Knowledge of PDM systems
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project
