Electrical Engineer
Our Client is looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join the team. With a strong electrical bias, you will play a critical role in resolving mechanical and electrical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise with tools and equipment, as well as experience working in manufacturing, processing, warehouse, or cold store environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems promptly to maintain operations.
- Utilise power tools, including drills, grinders, cutting equipment, saws, files, and presses.
- Safely work using ladders, steps, and walkways to access equipment and systems.
- Handle hot or cold equipment while following strict safe systems of work and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to enhance equipment reliability.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Electrical Bias: Formal electrical qualifications and/or a time-served apprenticeship.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years in a manufacturing, processing, warehouse, or cold store industry.
- Proficiency with power tools and equipment used in engineering environments.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures, PPE, and risk assessments.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
