Job DescriptionMTM Engineering has an exciting new opportunity for an Electrical Estimator to join our growing team, based at our Armagh office.The Role….This is a hands-on role with a responsibility to produce Electrical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects, along with estimating works working in a professional team.Who We Are...MTM Engineering was established in 1997 and is an Electrical Engineering company that specialises in MV & LV electrical cable installation, termination services, and containment solutions for a wide range of construction projects. Our expertise spans across industries such as Data Centres and Pharmaceutical throughout Europe and beyond.​Responsibilities…Management of estimating new projects from inception to submissionSetting up estimates, tender packs and applicable trackers.Communicating with internal stakeholders and external Suppliers & ClientsPreparing take-offs for LV/MV Cabling and Containment systems from drawings.Inputting take offs and quotes to relevant estimate formats.Produce bills of quantities, schedules of work and contractors' proposal documents to support bids.Assist in the handing over to the operational delivery team.Develop strong inter-departmental relationships working closely with Contracts Managers, QS’s and Design/Engineering department.Assist with supply chain pricing, sourcing and establishing new vendorsAssist with technical review, submission of RFI’s and CDE with each tender where needed.Support on review and purchasing of contractor furnished equipment such as LV Swiitchgear and busbarThe person…Self-motivated to ensure that project deadlines are achieved.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work on own initiative & as part of a team to manage workload efficiently.Strong communication and organisational skillsAbility to read and understand electrical drawings.High attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft ExcelAbility to communicate effectively to both technical and non- technical clients.Qualifications in Mathematics & English (5+ GCSE or above) demonstrating a strong numerical skillset.Experience as an estimator or an electrical background would be advantageous.​Job Type: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingMTM is an equal opportunities employerEmployee Assistance ProgrammeSchedule:Day shiftMonday to Friday
