Job Summary: A highly regarded and long-standing electrical contractor, is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join their dynamic team. Specialising in new-build residential developments, the company operates across London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridge, Oxfordshire, and Middlesex. The position is based in Luton, Bedfordshire, offering a friendly and collaborative working environment with a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

• Prepare electrical tenders ranging from £50k to £10m.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure compliance and value.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and supply chain partners.
• Must have practical experience as an electrician (past or present).
• Extensive experience in residential and commercial sectors.
• Strong understanding of various electrical disciplines covered by the company.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build client relationships both in person and over the phone.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills with solid commercial awareness.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative team player.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with Electrika estimating software is advantageous but not required.

Areas of Expertise:

• New build residential electrical fit-outs and shell core installations
• Regeneration electrical works
• Energy centres and plant rooms
• Building management systems (BMS)
• Lightning protection, ventilation systems, and intruder alarm systems
• CCTV, intercom, and access control systems
• Automated gates, car park lighting, and small power installations
• Low voltage systems, emergency lighting, and fire alarm systems
• Data network solutions, Wi-Fi systems, and home automation
• Smart metering and photovoltaic systems

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator with relevant qualifications.
• Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field are desirable.
