Position Description:
As the RLDA Engineer you will be responsible for planning and instrumenting test vehicles that require datalogging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Design and Test Engineers to plan and execute tests.
- Design and manufacture any fixtures/bracketry for sensor mountings.
- Remotely provide data logging support during testing.
- Basic knowledge of CAN.
- Strain gauges, bridge configuration and application.
- Basic knowledge and application of the following sensors:
- LVDTs & RVDTs.
- DC & ICP accelerometers.
- Oil/Fuel/Brake pressure sensors.
- K-type thermocouples.
- Fundamental knowledge of motorcycles and their systems.
- Carry out shakedown of instrumentation.
- Basic analysis of data to ensure functionality.
- Troubleshoot, maintain and repair data logging systems.
- Keep the calibrations up to date for the sensors and data logging systems.
- Basic electronic component knowledge.
- Basic experience working with low voltage DC wiring:
- Soldering, Crimping, Splicing, etc.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree - Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 3 years minimum experience in relevant field.
