Position: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (FM)

Location: Southampton

Salary: �36,000 - �40,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: Mix of Early, Mid's & Late's

Are you a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a stable, rewarding position? Our esteemed client, a leading facilities management company, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This static role offers the opportunity to work at a single site, ensuring consistent and reliable maintenance support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Conduct reactive maintenance and troubleshooting to address any electrical issues promptly.
  • Ensure all electrical installations and repairs comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including detailed reports of any repairs or modifications.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless facility operations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to identify and address potential issues before they become problematic.

Shift Details:

  • Mix of 10-12 hour shifts, earliest start 07:00 latest finish 20:00. This position involves working on a rotating shift pattern, over a 20 day period on average 10 days on 10 days off. Flexibility is essential to ensure the smooth operation of the facility at all times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, preferably within a facilities management environment.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Have good IT and report writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
