Working Hours: Full time, permanent, 4-shift continental rotation (6-6)



Job Description:



As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and commissioning of plant and equipment within a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly followed. Working closely with a team of engineers, you will support both proactive and reactive maintenance, helping to optimize performance and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the site.



Key responsibilities include:




  • Maintaining plant equipment (both breakdowns and preventative maintenance)

  • Systematically diagnosing electrical failures and ensuring timely resolutions

  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify root causes and prevent future issues

  • Communicating effectively with team members and handing over work at the end of shifts

  • Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines and contributing to safety improvements



As a Maintenance Technician, you will also be involved in cross-functional projects and training to expand your skillset, with opportunities to work across multiple engineering disciplines.



Skills & Experience:



The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician role will have:




  • A qualification in Electrical Engineering (ONC/OND/HND/HNC/NVQ III or equivalent)

  • Experience in electrical fault finding and heavy engineering maintenance

  • Familiarity with AC/DC motors, single and three-phase supplies

  • The ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks



Additional skills that would be advantageous include experience with PLCs, HV switching, and crane maintenance, though these are not essential.
